A college newspaper published Jack White's ridiculous rider and Jack White isn't happy

TOUR RIDERS OFTEN contain ridiculous requests – no green M&Ms and the like.
But Jack White’s one might just take the biscuit.
On Monday, White was slated to play at University of Oklahoma. The university paid White $80,000 for his services, something which the college newspaper felt obliged to report.
The newspaper also went ahead and leaked details of White’s contract, including the concert rider. And let’s just say that there are some interesting tidbits in there.
“1 bowl of fresh home-made guacamole”

This request might seem reasonable, until you realise that the rider contains a very specific recipe that must be adhered to.
“8 x champagne flutes (real glass)”

The rider also stipulates that highball glasses and wine glasses must be “real glass”. None of that pound shop nonsense for Jack.
“PLEASE NOTE: this is a NO BANANA TOUR. (Seriously.) We don’t want to see bananas anywhere in the building”

Bananas are strictly prohibited.
Jack White wasn’t too happy with the details being leaked and reportedly called the newspaper out during the concert.
Afterwards, it was reported that White’s booking agency WME have refused to book any more acts at the university after the newspaper mocked White’s backstage demands.
White’s camp strenuously denied this, but did issue a statement in which they described the leak as “unfortunate” and “unwelcoming”.
The statement also clarified that the guacamole was not for White himself, but rather for his 30 staff members. In fact, White could hate guacamole for all they know.
They did not provide an explanation on the banana ban, though some have suggested that it could be down to someone having an allergy.
Either way, LOL.
